ArchStar Capital, a leading lower middle market private equity firm, has acquired Deployable Systems, Inc. (DSI), following its earlier investment in Packaging Strategies Incorporated (PSI). Together, these businesses form ArchStar’s new packaging holding company.
“DSI’s commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our strategy to build the leading platform in rugged plastic packaging,” said ArchStar co-founder Jake Sturdy. “Dave Morin and his team strengthen PSI’s ability to meet growing demand for advanced military and electronics packaging solutions.”
PSI and DSI both design and manufacture rugged, rotationally and injection molded cases for industries such as aerospace, defense, telecommunications, medical devices, drones, and virtual reality systems.

ArchStar’s packaging platform will continue pursuing acquisitions of custom protective case manufacturers, with a focus on rotomolded plastic containers serving military, aerospace, and electronics sectors. This transaction marks ArchStar’s fourth investment and reinforces its role as a partner of choice for founder-owned manufacturing and distribution businesses.
